Reblogged from Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog:
(Netanya, Israel) -- UPDATED: We urgently need Christians around the world to pray for peace and to mobilize your family, friends and churches to pray and fast. The situation here is rapidly going from bad to worse. It is nearly midnight here, and the battle between Hamas and Israel has been intensifying hour by hour throughout the day.
Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terror organizations -- backed by Iran -- are firing rockets, missiles and mortars…
Prayer request for Israel! My friends, we are in the ending times and we need only keep our eyes on Israel to see how close we are to Christ' return. This is a message from Joel Rosenberg's blog. Israel has been fired upon every day from the Palestinians in Gaza. Israel is need of our prayer for her leaders and her protection as serious decision are being made. Remember that what happens in Israel will impact everyone in the world. Prayers are urgently needed now!

I’m glad you put this here Marianne. Things are moving so rapidly towards the second coming of Christ and being vigilant in our prayers for Israel is very important.
God be merciful to us all!

Every Sunday, Debbie, from http://www.iftodaywehear.wordpress.com, posts a piece written from a lady living in Israel. She writes from a perspective of a wife and mother, and all the preparations – both physically and mentally – that they are going through to prepare for this inevitable event that seems now to have begun.
I prayed this morning for those in the leadership of our government, who are in positions to stop the madness that we are facing, to be stirred to stop it. Otherwise, I believe we are going over the cliff in more ways than one.
By the way, I’ve started a second blog site. http://www.aggravatedbeyondcomplacency.wordpress.com. My posts there are a little more toward the theme of country. That seems to be occupying a fair amount of my learning and writing time these days.

As Israel’s options are lessened more and more each day, I pray that Israel sees the one open door available to them: Jesus. He is the Lord God of Israel, their Protector, and their soon coming King.

You are so right, Steve. Things are moving quickly to the second coming of Christ. I believe that with Obama’s re-election that it will be hastened even more as God’s judgement comes upon us.

Hi Larry, you are praying as I do and that is for Israel to begin to know Christ as their Messiah and King. We know that God has prepared a remnant of his people to understand this truth. I pray even before Christ returns that the Jewish people all over will see the truth now.

Thanks for this alert Marianne. i have been reading of the escalation over there. We must all remain vigilant and pray. These enemies of Israel hate her, and will destroy if able. I believe God will protect Israel, as He has in the past. Thanks again.

I have a personal friend who was in Tel Aviv in 2003. He was there to film a documentary about the night life there and how there is more going on than terrorism and war. The film took a very different twist … My friend Jack Baxter tells it better than I can … Here’s the link:

This is an example of what the people of Israel have to deal with and exactly what evil Hamas and the Palestinians are capable of.

Thanks Steve. I am checking out that link now. Netanyahu said that they have been hit with 1000 missiles from Gaza in the past few months. Now that they are taking action against these attacks, I heard that the New York Times criticized Israel for hitting back. I guess the Times thought that Israel should wait until they are annihilated before firing back!

Praying for Israel. their leaders and for America’s leaders including our own leaders here in Canada. May God grant them all the wisdom they need to make these difficult decisions. It amazes me what hatred us human beings are capable of.

God bless you, Glenn. We need to show our love and support to Israel who is being targeted every single day with missiles and bombs. Enough is enough! May God be with them.

We should continue to watch and pray intently for Israel now. The developments in Egypt are crucial in these end times. More important is really get focused in God’s Word, prayer and doing His work these days.
Bless you Marianne,
Dan

I found this especially for you …
… But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
Ps. 69: 29-32

That was a great reminder for me, Steve. Actually the words, ” I will praise the name of God with song and will magnify him with thanksgiving” hit me right now. No matter what we go through, we are to still magnify the Lord ……..but with thanksgiving! To me that means that even though I am going through a painful trial, I must still remember who my God is sufficient and I must be thankful for all that he allows for in all things his purpose will be fulfilled. I am not suffering for nothing. God has my back and he will take me through this. My faith and thanks to God in the midst of a storm is more pleasing and honors him more than any other sacrifice. I learned a lot just from that verse, my friend. Thank you for sending it to me. What a blessing it was to me.
