THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD
It does not matter where you are in your life; it only matters where God is going to take you. His light is our solace in a lost and perishing world. The word of God promises us that we will have peace despite our situation and that he has a plan to give us a future with hope. Jesus has paid the price for our victory in every circumstance. There is never a battle that can defeat you. It is only when you understand that you are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ that you can believe that God’s strength and his perfect plan for you life are all that you need.
Too often the storms of life can leave you weary making it a struggle to stand in faith. The enemy who roams this earth seeking to kill, steal and destroy will use every effort to make you doubt that God cares about your difficult situation. Satan is the father of lies and he will try to use your heartache and pain to rob you of your joy. The truth is that he cannot steal the purpose and plan for which God sent his only Son to redeem for us.
We read in 1 Peter 5:10 that, “The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” The storms that this life brings will be turned around for your good and will bring you to the knowledge of how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.(Ephesians 3:18} It is only after you have been in a painful battle and watched as your God defeated all of your problems that you can grow in unwavering trust.
Nothing can overcome you when your life is in Christ. He is your power and the force to go on even despite the pain you may be experiencing. God is never limited by the impossibility of your situation. He who spoke the world into existence has a way out of every trial you endure. In Scripture we read that it was God who shut the mouth of the lions and saved Daniel when he was thrown into their den for not bowing down to the king. It was God who went with young David to defeat the giant. It is always the strength of God who meets us at the battle and takes down our enemies. We have nothing to fear because the word of God promises us that we cannot be destroyed.
You may be facing a serious illness, an addiction, a broken marriage, or financial problems but you need to know that God is willing and able to take you through your struggle that you may be anxious for nothing. We are told in Isaiah 26 that God will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in the one who can do all things.
You can be hard-pressed but never crushed by your problems. God knows your name and saw all of your days before one of them came to be. Jesus will guide your steps and be the light when the darkness of your situation is overwhelming. And he will never leave your side.
There will always be battles that come against you in your life, but Jesus tells us to take joy for he has overcome them all!

Hi Lizeth, the truth is that you are NOT alone. The enemy will always try to deceive you into believing that God is far away and doesn’t know what you are going through. But the word of God says that he will never fail you, that he knew you before he formed you in the womb, that he has a plan for your life to give you a future and that you cannot be defeated as long as you keep your trust in cross of Christ. The bible says in 1 Peter 5:7 that you should “Cast all your cares and anxious thoughts on him because he cares for you”. Whatever you are going through please remember that he already has the answer. It may seem as if God is silent, but the wait is actualy part of the answer. He will bring you to his peace and resolve your issues soon. Just keep believing. I am praying for you now. God bless!

Hi solihin, I pray that you do believe the truth of God which says you are never alone. The enemy will always try to whisper his lies to you which says that God doesn’t care. Never give in to those lies. The truth that sets you free is the truth that God sent his only Son to die for us to give us victory not defeat.
Stay strong and may God bless you.

Hi Chris,
My heart goes out to you for I have also been in lonely places where there doesn’t seem like there is an answer for my problems. You are not alone.
No matter what you are going through, the truth is that God can work it out and cause it to be used for your good. That may seem impossible to you and maybe it is impossible by the world’s standards. But God is not confined by our limitations. He has the way out of every storm we go through because he Is the Master over the storm and the wind. He will work out your pain and bring you to wholeness if you can trust him to do so. It may seem like it is taking too long, but God’s timing is perfect. You don’t have to see it, you don’t have to feel, you just have to know by faith that God is sovereign over everything and that he will take you through.
If you are too week to pray and broken in spirit, he will have others lifting you up. Please understand that help is on the way!
I will be lifting you up in prayer every day until you have received the victory. And if you stand in trust, you will get the victory! Never believe the enemies lies. I am here for you and I will be praying. Take heart, for God is getting you ready for something big.
Send me your email address so that I can write to you. For now, please know that I am with you!

Hi May, I am so glad that you stopped by my site. I am very sorry to hear about your health issue. So many of us are going through various issues and trials in our lives that it is hard sometimes to remember that God is with us – but he always is! As you stand in faith during this time of testing, know without a doubt that Christ is your strength. He is not going to let you go through this alone. In fact, if you are a believer, Jesus has a way to work this health issue out to make you stronger than before! If you are in Christ, all that touches you must first be allowed by the will of God. Whatever he allows, he allows for a specific, divine, eternal purpose! You are not going to be destoyed by this illness! You are not going down, God is going to take you through it! In the end, God’s purpose and plan for your life will stand. I pray tht it helps you to know that this health issue did not come as a surprise to God. He knew before he formed you in the womb all that you would have to endure and he planned a way to take you to victory despite what you must endure.
May, your faith is being tested but it will come forth refined as silver. In the end, you will have a greater knowledge of the God that you serve as you watch his power to overcome sickness and disease while he keeps you in his perfect peace!! We are all going through testing of every kind as the this world perishes. But we as believers have our hope in the promises of Christ! While all the lost of this earth are standing on sinking sand, we are standing on the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ who has more than enough power to keep us safe.
I will add you to my prayer request list. I lift up all of those requests each night and I know that God is hearing and answering me. Please continue to let me know how you are doing. Anyone can trust Christ in the good times, can you still trust him as these health issues appear to progress? God is still bigger than any sickness or weakness that can come against you. Read through some of my articles. Everyone of them gives a message of hope and truth to help you when the enemy wants to fill your mind with lies and doubt.
I will not forget you in my prayers each night. Take care knowing that God has this situation resolved. He is just waiting for the perfect timing to restore you to wholeness. It may be hard to wait on him, but the timing is part of his plan! God bless you, my friend!!

Hi Joy, I am so glad that God led you to my site for I will be praying for you. You are certainly going through a time of testing and your struggles are painful. My heart is with you and I will keep you in my prayers each night. I don’t know all of your situation but I know that if your trust is in Christ, he is going to take you through each and every single one of them. You are not alone and you never will be. If God is allowing this in your life, he is not doing it to destroy you. Each of our trials has a purpose to make us stronger and more equipped for the battles here. The enemy knows that our problems as believers cannot take us down but will take us up the mountain and closer to our God. I am so very sorry about your illness and that of your mother. I am trusting that God will heal both of you by his power and strength. You will not be shaken even though your world appears to be crumbling because you are not standing on this perishing earth— you are standing on the PROMISES OF GOD! That is your inheritance as a believer. Keep your eyes on Christ. Do not look at the high waves and heavy winds of trouble that surround you for Jesus is more than able to keep you walking on the water and not drowning in your pain.
Joy, I know that this all might sound like only nice words. You may not see how what I have said is going to help you now. The truth is that God is willing to give you his peace right now while you are in the storm if you trust him. I grew up very poor and suffered abuse. God was able to take me past my pain and use it not only to bless me, but to give me understanding of others who are in pain too. No matter how bad your situation appears, God is in the middle of it right now and he is working it out for your good even though you can’t see that now. I will keep praying for you,my sister, for God has put you in my heart. Please feel free to contact me here or at my email: commish07@zoominternet.net. I just want you to know that I will be with you in prayer and I know that God will make a way! Stay in God’s peace, Joy, for he has big plans for your life!

Hi Ibsa, I am so glad you stopped by. Whatever you are going through, you need to surrender to the power of your God. It may seem like he is taking too long to bring you to victory but actually, he is holding to the exact right time! If you can trust that God is mightier than your problems, then you have already begun the steps to overcome that which you struggle with. When your trust is in Christ, he will cause all things to work out for your good. It doesn’t matter how serious or impossible your situation is, Jesus died so that nothing can defeat you.
I will be praying for you, Ibsa. Be strong and stay in peace for God will surely be with you to the end!

Hi Michelle, I am so glad that God touched you with his word. We can indeed rely on God’s promises. Remember that the storms we face have no power to destroy a child of God. The enemy knows that so he works to just take your eyes from the Source of your power – Jesus Christ. Remain steadfast, my sister, for God knows how to help you and your dad in any problems or struggle that you face. He will never fail you! Everything is being worked out for your good. God bless you, dear friend. Stop back. I pray for all who visit this site and I am here if you need to talk.

Hi Marianne,
I love your website and just by reading all of the above replies and your message of encouragement, I feel a little better. To make my long story short, I have a couple of struggles: Unemployment for over a year and the father of my four year old and 4 month old, has turned his heart on us. Tyree, (their father) and I aren’t married but as I tjhough we were growing closer and eventually getting married, I was wrong. Their father has found another woman who he claims understands him better and he has left me heartbroken and in deep pain and anger. We have two young beautiful children that he does’nt even ask about or attempt to see anymore (perthaps because of his new profound love) but he does’nt live with eitier of us because he is an OTR truck driver. I feel betrayed because when I was pregnant, he claimed he found a friend, who is now his girlfriend. He never gave our relationship enough time to grow with our new baby and eventually get married before finding someone new. I find myself texting this man all the time for answers of why he would do this to me but he keeps saying that he is driving and can’t talk or text and when he gets time to call me, he does’nt, like he said he would. He is also deceptive because he told me he would drop the friend, if I allowed him to move in with his kids and I but before I knew it, his then called, “friend” turned into a “girlfriend” just that fast. I feel that he was preying on my emotions just to get what he wanted (a place to live).
I still love this man but he has become less and less responsive and withering away, although he claims he still has love for me? I have prayed and prayed for guidance but do have a sense of peace. My other problem is unemployment, I just need a breakthrough because my unemployment will run out in one month and I have rent and bills. Please pray for all of us. Thank you.

Marianne Lordi
Hi Tonya, I am so glad that you stopped by. My heart is with you. I know that the enemy deceives so many young women to live with a man outside of marriage thinking that he will eventually marry them. The problem with that, my sister, is that you are starting a relationship by selling yourself short. If your guy truly loved you, he would have married you before you got pregnant with your second child. I am so sorry you had to find this out this way. He claims he still “loves” you but the truth is that his actions show you differently. Please, my sister, don’t continue to listen to the excuses of a man who is avoiding you. He says he is driving and can’t talk or text you. When you love someone, you find a way to talk all the time not an exuse why you can’t. I know you may not believe what I am saying but you will see. It all depends how much time you want to continue to give him while he moves on to other women. You deserve so much more than that, Tonya! My friend, I know what I am saying. I wasted years doing the same thing only to throw years away that i can never get back. Don’t do the same thing. You don’t ever have to beg a man to love you! God has bigger and better plans for your life than that but you have to do it his way.
I will be praying for you, Tonay. I know you are hurt and you still want to make this relationship work. The truth is that even if you married him, you would have to wonder if he was cheating on you. It would not be a happy life.
I will keep you in prayer each night. I have been through your pain but I have seen that God’s ways are the only way to success. Please read your bible and let God’s promises give you holpe that you will stil have a future with hope even if this man is not in your life. I am here if you want to talk.
Be blessed, dear sister. God can help you.

I appreciate your spirtual advice but how should I deal with him when he comes around to see his kids because he claims he loves them. What I am afraid of though is that he will get this new woman pregnant and or marry her and there would not even be a chance for us to ever be together again. I know I deserve better treatment but I still have some feelings for him, since I have known him for 6 years. How do I pray for him and allow God’s light to shine and touch his heart in a way that could change him for the better? He really needs help but does’nt see that he does yet (spiritually blindfolded) because he has good intentions. I’m not trying to be naive but I have a BIG heart and don’t want to totally give up on him because I see that he needs help. Could I just be friends to him and be a leaning shoulder, without attachments? Is that possible? Or am I still not getting the picture?
Thanks Again,
Tonya

Isaac
Thank you for your words of life, i am seriously touch on how God spoke to me through you today, i was feeling lonely but you have encouraged my spirit. But i have a Question, please is smoking cigarette a sin?
January 28, 2012 at 11:22 am
Marianne Lordi
Hi Isaac, I am so glad you stopped by here. I keep in prayer all whom God brings to my site.
As for your question regarding smoking: I can only answer as I believe lines up with God’s word. God has given you a body that you are to take care of. If you choose to eat to much and become obese, you are harming your body. If you drink too much alcohol, you harm your body. If you take drugs into your system, you harm your body. And if you smoke cigarettes, you shorten your life and you harm your body. Anything that does not give glory to God, Isaac, should be avoided. Smoking is harmful therefore smoking is a sin. Remember that the word sin comes from the Greek word that was an archery term – in other words, missing the center or the mark. Jesus is the center. He is the mark we must strive to be like. He gave us his example to live by. You are setting yourself up to cause problems in your body when you smoke. I hope you will pray about it and seek God’s help if you have trouble quitting. I will pray for you also. God bless you, dear brother!

Please pray for me and my partner to save our relationship from evil harmful attacks. Spells have been cast to break us apart. This happened very suddenly. I know he loves me. We have been together now for almost three years and planning a life together and marriage. I ask the lord to release love and light into the situation and set him free from bondage and mind control so he can see the truth and move forward with God. Please pray for a breakthrough in our lives. Thank you C.

I’ve learned at a young age God’s unfailing Love is all a person needs to get past all trials n tribulations in life, dat Satan is a liar n for one to really know n understand God’s love n to even grow in wisdom one needs to have been through something either really good or bad that no man can take or give you…for only then will you acknowledge with better understanding the greatness of God in your life and that not even the devil has any power to come between you and God’s mercy and blessings in and upon your life…God bless you for taking your time to bless others abundantly…

My dear friend, I know what it is like to be so weary that to face another day seems impossible. I am sorry for what you are going through. We are told in God’s word that in these ending times that it will be very difficult. However, Christ has given us his promise to be with us and to lighten our load. It may not be as you requested but it will be perfect and good and that is so much better. God sees the beginning of your life to the end. He has numbered your days before one of them came to be. He will not fail to bring you what is good. I am here for you if you want to talk and I will be praying.

Hello Marianne
I am going through a very difficult time at the moment in my marriage. I have wronged my husband- I spoke disrespectfully towards him. And I acknowledged my mistake and apologised many times, however the damage seem to be already done. I recently found out that he is seing another woman (something very difficult to deal with).
I feel as though he has given up on us. I feel as though he doesn’t even love me anymore. I need prayers. I am seeking for prayers. I’m trusting God for victory over this situation at home. Going through your message has given me more hope and just what I need to hear as i’m facing.

Dear C, I will be praying for you, my sister. I know what you are going through for I am there also. Even though your may have spoke disrespectfully to your husband, it was never grounds to do what he is doing by seeing someone else. It shows me that there was trouble in your marriage long before you knew about it. Christ is your hope, C. Whatever the outcome, if you surrender your will to his, he will keep you and provide a future for you no matter what happens. Keep praying for your husband. The enemy has blinded so many to the lies from hell. Your husband is bringing destruction upon himself. I pray for God to take him to he end of himself so that he may finally see the truth of what he is doing. I pray that God will keep you in his peace as he takes you through this. May he provide for your needs and help you to keep your eyes on him. Your future is in the hands of Christ. He saw long before you were born what you would face and he still has a plan. You will not be destroyed, my sister. Christ is with you and he will help you.
Please know that you can email me anytime to talk confidentially. I know this is a difficult time for you. Stay in God’s word daily. Read your bible each morning so that you will keep God’s armor on you and be prepared for the schemes of the devil. God himself will speak to you through his word.
You are not alone, my sister. I will be praying for you. Write to me anytime. God has the answer.

Dear Marianne
I am so happy I came across your site. To the women with the problems of their husbands leaving for another woman – I say to them be patient, trust God and await his timing. He promises to fight our battles for us, but we must pray and wait. I was in such a situation and I know from experience, it is heartbreaking but I did just what I am telling the women and you know what? God came through for me and the other woman died. (I never prayed for her to die) in fact I had made a decision to leave him for her and whilst doing that I spent my time crying, praying and waiting on the Lord. Our 2 young children stayed with him, while I went to leave alone. It was at that time the Lord and I spent wonderful time together. Then one night my 10 yr old daughter called to ask me to come home because the woman had died. She was suddenly taken ill, admitted to hospital and died. You see friends, when God says he will fight our battles for us and any other promise he makes, he keeps these promises. He said his word will not return to him void but will accomplish the purpose he sent it to do. Now my family is back together, my husband rededicated his life to the Lord and God is seeing us through although Satan is trying other avenues to discourage us. Because since his conversion, his business is not doing well financially when it was so successful before, so now we have financial problems, we can hardly maintain ourselves, thieves broke into our home 4 times taking lots from us (please pray for us Marianne). We will not give up on God he has taken us too far to look back. He fought for me in one way before, he will do it again in this financial situation as well as deal with the thieves. So sisters,be patient, pray, give God thanks, and look for your answer. This situation helped me grow stronger spiritually, helped me depend on God, and now I am able to use my experience as a testimony to encourage others. I have you all in my prayers as you pray for me as well.

Hi DW, I am so glad you stopped, also. You certainly have a testimony and I am so glad that your family is together again. I will be praying for you on your financial struggles. Just as God was faithful to stand with you while your marriage was breaking up, he also knows how to restore your finances and get you on your feet. Commit your ways and your spending to him. He has the power to turn all things around. I pray for protection on your home against thieves and those who mean you harm. I pray for your family to continue to grow in love and peace. May your marriage grow stronger by the day and be a shining example of Christ’s love of his church. If you and your husband will surrender your struggles to God, he will not let you be taken down by any of them.
I am here praying for you, my sister. Thank you for encouraging others here who are going through painful marriage issues. In the end, God will still have the plan no matter what happens. He holds our future and our blessings. He knows how to keep us in peace in the midst of every battle we face. I pray that you will keep this truth in your heart and that you continue to read your bible every day and let God’s word be your guide and your strength in every situation in your life.
Be blessed, dear sister. Your God is with you and he will not fail to bring you the victory!
